The framework analysis “Environment and Water Resource Protection: Measures to Modernise Water Infrastructure in the Southern Caucasus” was developed by AHK Aserbaidschan as part of the "Environmental Technologies Export Initiative" with the support of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV). The analysis identifes challenges, prospects, and market opportunities for establishing sustainable water infrastructure in the Southern Caucasus countries, with main focus on modernization of water and waste water management systems in Azerbaijan.
The research reviews existing water management systems in the Southern Caucasus countries, introduces the problems and analyses of water infrastructure and ultimately illustrates market entry opportunities for foreign private companies for development in relation to environmental and sustainability goals.
