The Asian Development Bank is funding the project following a request from the State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Finance, to support the implementation of further transparency measures in the country’s extractive industries. Under the lead of Extractive Industries Transparency Commission, Asian Development Bank and consultants of the project on the Roadmap for Beneficial Ownership Disclosure for the Extractive Industries in Azerbaijan are hosting awareness-raising events and workshops to inform stakeholders about the project and consultation process and to have discussions with them. The aim is to provide key stakeholders with a platform where they can discuss the essential elements of the mechanism, alongside legislative proposals, as part of a consultation process.
Members of the AHK Azerbaijan may also attend awareness raising event, which will be held on June 25, 2019, at 13:00 to 15:00 on the premises of the State Oil Fund (Heydar Aliyev av. 165).
