Sustainable Development of Water and Wastewater Infrastructure in Azerbaijan
In Azerbaijan, modernizing the infrastructure and solving the challenges in the field of water and wastewater management are tasks of prime importance. Green technologies “Made in Germany” represent a great chance to support the process of modernization in this sector.
Against this background, the AHK Azerbaijan initiated the project "Sustainable Water Management for Azerbaijan" as part of the "Environmental Technologies Export Initiative" with the support of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV). In addition to a training course for employees of Azerbaijani companies, the AHK also held the 1st German-Azerbaijani Sustainability Forum in Baku on 12.10.2021.
During the forum, the publication "Sustainable Development of Water and Wastewater Infrastructure in Azerbaijan" was released, which informs companies about the future plans of the Azerbaijani government as well as the upcoming challenges in Azerbaijan. Furthermore, the publication presents selected success stories of German and Azerbaijani companies in the water sector.
